Growing Green Practices for the Crowne Plaza Hanalei San Diego

Our goal is to utilize as many available and appropriate resources as possible in an effort to operate the Crowne Plaza San Diego in an environmentally friendly manner. In order to maintain a successful Green Initiative, Crowne Plaza San Diego is also dedicated to providing continuous education and outreach to all employees, guests, purveyors, and neighbors.

Recycling Programs
The Crowne Plaza Green Engage Team are working to increase its overall recycling to more than 45% in 2011, up from 35% in last year. This includes recycling commingled items (plastic, paper, glass, tin, aluminum and cardboard), cooking oil, food waste, green waste (i.e. grass & tree clippings), e-waste (computers, CPUs, light bulbs), linen, blankets & bedding material, wood pallets, and wire hangers.
